A diet is a special type of a meal plan that a person who is suffering from a certain health condition, or who wants to lose weight, needs to follow. Breakfast: half a cup of oatmeal, one banana, and a glass of skim milk.
Lunch: two slices of bread, 2 ounces low fat cheddar or any type of cheese, 3 teaspoon margarine, a cup of tomato soup, half a cup of peaches for dessert, and a glass of mineral water.
Dinner: one serving of flour tortilla 6 inches thick, half a cup of black beans, half a cup of pepper or onion, a quarter of a cup of salsa, 2 ounces of low fat cheddar cheese, half a cup of fruit cocktail for dessert, and a glass of skim milk.
The American Diabetes Association recommends this type of diet to everyone who suffers from this disease. But the one above is just an example of it. There are a lot of food combination you can do to follow and attain the 1200 calorie consumption required in a given day.
