Campaign For Research: The Diabetes Awareness Bracelets
Continued From << Diabetes Awareness Bracelets
There are other diabetes awareness bracelets that come in a more inferior type of beads. Most of them contain words signifying the wearer’s aspiration in helping diabetic patients. Sometimes there are inscriptions in it. And because the beads are not as classy as the Swarovski crystals, they can be priced from $5 to $20.
There are diabetic awareness bracelets for the athletic types as well. They are similar to those used by basketball and football players. They come in the form of a stretchable band made of rubber. They too have some words inscribed in it. These bands are normally priced around $5.
But of course, there are diabetic awareness bracelets that are especially crafted. And being such, they would qualify as fine jewelry. Depending upon the style, there would be words relevant to the diabetic community engraved in the metal. These diabetes awareness jewelry bracelets are usually made of gold or sterling silver. They are normally priced per gram, especially if it is gold. Silver are of course priced relatively lower compared to gold.
Sidebar: Next in this series will be the topic of diabetes rubber bracelet.
These diabetic awareness bracelets are being sold to the public, not only to the diabetic patients. And for every purchase made, its resellers and manufacturers donate a certain percentage of the sale to diabetes research. If the bracelets are sold by cause-oriented groups, then all of the proceedings will be donated.
Through these diabetes awareness bracelets, a lot of people can do something to benefit diabetic patients in their own simple way. A mere $5 worth of bracelet in contribution to the research is a big thing, especially if a lot of people would do it. There currently are 20 million diabetic patients in America alone. If at least one of their family members or friends purchases a single bracelet, then the research foundation would be able to amass $100 million worth of funds to further the studies they are doing to finally find that elusive cure for diabetes.
